Writing a script that converts
Practical advice from the calls that worked across our pilot tenants.
01
First-line rule
- Open with WHO you are + WHY you're calling. Never lie about being human.
- Good: 'Hey, it's Sienna from Digital One Agency — quick courtesy call about your mobile app enquiry.'
- Bad: 'Hi, this is Linda from the office calling regarding your application…' (sounds like a scam).
02
Qualifying questions — order matters
- Easiest question first (confirm name).
- Then specifics (what's the project, timeline).
- Money question last — only after they've engaged.
03
Branch on budget early
- If you have a price floor (e.g. $15k MVP), state it directly: 'Our work starts around $X — is that workable?'
- Politely wrap callers below the floor with cheaper alternatives — don't waste their time or yours.
04
Always have a close
- End every call with one of: warm transfer to human / SMS booking link / opt-out confirmed.
- No fourth outcome. Clear close = clear lead state.
