Quick-start: tradies (plumbers, electricians, locksmiths, HVAC)
Get a tradie business booking jobs via AI in 30 minutes. Connect ServiceM8 or simPRO, set use case to 'inbound appointment setter', test, go live.

Step 1 — Connect your dispatch board
- For most AU tradies: ServiceM8 (residential) or simPRO (commercial).
- Settings → Preferences → API → copy email + API key.
- In VoxReach: Integrations → ServiceM8 (or simPRO) → paste credentials → Connect.
- Booking tools auto-attach to your AI agent.

Step 2 — Pick the right use case
- At /assistants/new, pick 'Inbound appointment setter' — won't sell, won't FAQ, just books jobs.
- Or 'After-hours / overflow' if you have daytime reception and only need AI nights/weekends.

Step 3 — Customise voice + opening line
- Voice: pick a smooth Aussie voice that matches your brand.
- Opening: 'G'day, you've reached
. What's the job?' — punchy and direct.

Step 4 — Set business hours + dispatch board respect
- Branding → Business hours: Mon-Sat 7am-5pm typical.
- On the integration page workflow: tick 'Respect tenant business hours' so AI never books before/after.

Step 5 — Test then go live
- Add yourself as a test customer in ServiceM8.
- Ring your VoxReach number — agent should match you, qualify the job, book against the right tradie.
- Once happy, port your real number or forward your existing number to the VoxReach number.

Common gotchas
- Job categories not showing — make sure they exist in ServiceM8 and are marked active.
- Wrong tradie assigned — set service-keyword mapping in workflow (e.g. 'hot water=svc-uuid-123').
- After-hours emergency calls — pair with a 2-way SMS responder so the on-call tradie gets a heads-up SMS.
